To replace is the small one Part that holds the strap as mine is completely broken. My band has also started to crack where I fold it back. I felt it was the best deal with the best reviews. The band is definitely a different material than the OEM - it's more flexible, which I think could be a good thing. It's longer, which might have been a bit of a downside for me overall, but layering can be an advantage in the winter. The tape material isn't as smooth as the OEM - I don't know how else to describe it as "sticky". Putting the watch on is not as smooth as my OEM and as a pet owner I was immediately struck by how every bit of hair/lint was stuck to the strap. In the end I took the strap. Remove and return to my OEM using just a small piece holding the strap in place. I suppose having the belt on hand will be good if my belt breaks completely and, hopefully I get another year with all the parts and maybe OEM is cheaper then.
