I bought these thinking they were pretty expensive for what they are. Throw in a caliper on the other side, it stretches that bungee and suddenly the price isn't so bad. I work mostly with light trucks so the hanger trick doesn't work - I don't trust a 1 ton caliper with a piece of wire that can be bent by hand and I don't want to waste time twisting it. and unwind the hanger wire to make sure the caliper doesn't come loose and possibly pull out the brake line. So they work pretty well and you can do limited caliper work like moving pins without risking a dedicated method failing. These hangers are pretty sturdy. And I like stainless steel, no rust or paint chips, biggest risk is losing them (I bought unpainted stainless steel, not orange ones. Disagree, orange ones are less likely to accidentally drive off).
