Bought a few months ago. Yes, this is not high-tech protection - it can be overcome with a screwdriver and a paper clip. However, if you need to provide easy access to a locked door in an already protected area, this is great. The magnetic closure is reliable, the fingerprint scanner works, the card reader works and the keyboard works when needed. Adding users is pretty easy, especially if you're doing it from a spreadsheet. Then you can upload this table to other castles. The device can communicate with the server via TCP/IP, but I haven't gone that route. We've added a remote relay (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JGDV8UM) to allow the door to be opened for guests, and we've even activated a motion relay (https://www.amazon.com/ gp). /product/B075KM24J8) to open the door when people leave. We ended up buying 2 more of these items. We will use one on the outside door. The controller itself will be inside, but we're using an external weatherproof card reader (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LWRQMN5) outside the door. The seller even helped me connect an external reader (they sent the attached picture). Nothing is stored in the external reader and breakage cannot force the door open. As long as the controller itself is safe, there is nothing to worry about. In fact, if I should be careful, when I first bought this I simply attached an external card reader to our doors and placed the controller securely in a locked drawer in another part of the building. Look back. I see that we will be buying a few more of these in the future. Maybe even get them online at some point, but stay on an isolated VLAN with no internet access. We have now uploaded several hundred maps and will distribute them as required.
