Review on InstaJACK JK-100NR 12V Remote Controlled Automatic Car Jack - Instant Versatility by William Obong

Found out (the hard way) that my jack is only for ideal conditions. Looking for something with a 17+ inch capacity and the ability to lift 2 tons, I came across the instaJACK. Although there are some issues, it provides an emergency lift for my truck. What sucks: - Minus 1 star for the crappy plastic lid, it broke the moment I tested it. (Okay, I replaced it with a hockey puck.) - Minus ¼ stars for not having a direct connection to the battery post; Most 12V cigarette lighter sockets have a 10A or 15A fuse. The outlet can draw more, causing the fuse to blow and leaving you stranded. - Minus ¼ stars for the lack of a carry bag which costs you more money - Minus ½ stars for not being able to lower the lift if there is a power problem. The last thing you want to do is rock your car/truck when it gets stuck or breaks down during use. Generally I'll keep it in the back of the trunk for emergencies. I wish I had other options, but there doesn't seem to be a good mechanical jack for a >17" height. You don't really get what you paid for, but hopefully I never have to use it.
