A few pins were dried to begin with. I was hoping to get a product that would allow me to make thin lines (even on a straight edge) with acrylic paints. They work well in this regard once you start using them. However, it is quite difficult to get these acrylic pens to apply any type of pigment. They require vigorous shaking for several minutes. My wrist only hurt on three or four of them. It feels like a set of 30 will give me carpal tunnel syndrome. A paint stirrer would be nice. Maybe all acrylic pens are like that, but I'm not overly impressed with their performance. I'm certainly not impressed that some of them were dried (cake) to begin with. They are too expensive to experiment with different brands. I'm considering looking for another solution.
