Review on JBL Tune 215 Ear Headphones by Aneta Stpie ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied, the purchase is quite successful.

There is a feeling that the lack of a noise reduction microphone, the location of the air intake holes and other incomprehensible shortcomings are justified only by marketing in order to reduce intra-brand product competition and are intentional, as there are no problems and difficulties with their solution. Adding a noise-canceling microphone will not affect the final price of the product in any way. It seems that some anti-features are needed in order to make sense to overpay 4-5 times for a completely wireless model, with autonomy three times less, by the way. The problem with sound dampening by blowing air was slightly corrected by gluing a piece of heat shrink with cyanoacrylate glue at an angle, it dampens less, but there is still noise. It is also impossible to completely seal the holes - the speaker stops working normally. The solution is of course so-so, but even this is better than jbl's ingenious industrial design / marketing

Pros
  • Good sound, autonomy, good ergonomics, relatively fair price
Cons
  • Lack of elemental moisture protection. A rather short wire to the headphones themselves - pulls a little down by the ears. The air intake holes for the speakers are not located behind the earphone, as, for example, on the wired tune 250 model, which is similar in shape and sound to the earpiece, but exactly on the side, due to which, with any movement, wind, and, especially, cycling, the sound is almost completely muffled by the oncoming air flow even at maximum volume (which is also unsafe for hearing). Moreover, it is not at all clear what structural reason this is justified - on a wired model with the same headphone shape, these holes are located behind the headphone case, covered with a mesh, and this problem is completely absent. There is no second noise reduction microphone - the interlocutor, during a conversation, hears everything that happens around, which greatly reduces the possibility of a comfortable dialogue. The shape of the headphones is strange, it doesn’t seem to differ much from the wired tune 250 / earpods, but it keeps and isolates much worse in the ears.

Has pros: They work. Good microphone. The presence of a wire. A dropped earpiece does not fly away from you under a shelf in a store or a subway car. Has cons: The sound is very, very mediocre.

For the price, these are excellent headphones, if you consider them as a headset. Melomaniac will not work.

Second purchase in this format. The 210s crumbled.

Pros below: Pretty good headphones for the money. Do you want to listen to long music? Yes, they will give it to you. Are you something verified? And again they will give it to you Cons: Perhaps I note that the rubber pad fell off in the first week. You can use it, but it's annoying.

Got pros: Good sound and of course not to get lost one of the headphones Has cons: The mount to hold the earphone wires is rubberized and sometimes flies off. Look at the size of the headphones in advance according to what may not fit your ear.
