As a kid I would have loved this digital microscope! I'm just talking Let's briefly talk about this product. Setup takes a little time. I installed the app on my iOS iPhone 8. I simply used the supplied QR code and downloaded the app like that. It's free. Then you need to go to your phone's settings and select an unsecured manufacturer's network to connect your phone to this device. The microscope uses the included Android charger. To turn on and off, press the button for about 3 seconds. Then the LEDs around the lens will turn off or off depending on whether you have it on or not. The light is always on when in use. At first the image didn't seem so clear, then I realized there is a transparent plastic lens cap that needs to be removed when using! It made all the difference in clarity. See photos. It will be a great device in the field when a kid or student goes hiking and camping. Just bring an external battery to keep it going. The housing is made of plastic, as is the holder. The whole block is small, like the size of a 3/4 cigar. Leave the box for storage. It can easily be carried in a backpack or glove compartment of a car. Photos or videos are stored in app storage but I don't think it's because of the cloud. I'm not sure. There is a focus mechanism. The device is lightweight so you'll have to fiddle with it to get the focus you want as it's difficult to hold still. But it can be done. Overall this is a fun device and I will have it on hand for those outdoor adventures. Check out my photos: the metallic is my white gold engagement ring, the crunchy is popcorn, and the alien head is a bug I found dead in a back chilly deck.
