These are good shoes if you are not a professional high level dancer. I would say they would be a fun gift but unless the person is a properly trained dancer then attempting to stand on your toes will definitely compromise the integrity of the foot unless you understand how to grab the sock and/or your wrapped toes and support your own weight on your ankles. These shoes are also not suitable for running.* The student can use them at home for sports and they come in beautiful colors. These are beautiful shoes.
