Nice cord. I use it for both macrame and woven wall hangings. It's wrapped tight enough to make tight knots/weaves and stays in place so your knots don't come undone while you make the next one. It's soft enough to be pulled out. your hands over and over while tying a knot without hurting your hands. There is enough on the spool to make a complete plant hanger with just one color. I didn't see any paint in my hand either. No complaints at all.
