Review on Antizer Flameless Dripless Realistic Batteries by Steve Cypert

Turning it off with just the remote drains the batteries quickly

Very convincing candle effect, although after long use I will point out one issue: There is a hardware candle switch on the bottom, which is separate from the On/off remote control, and the remote control can only be used when the spark plug switch is in the "on" position. So if you turn the candle on and then off with the remote, technically the candle is still on and the batteries will die in just a month or two. If you plan to put the candle in a lantern or something hard to reach and use the remote to turn it on and off, you'll find that you're burning a lot of batteries and you might have to take them out to turn them on every time. it turns on and off. The remote control also drains quite quickly as it is exhausted and needs a new button battery after only 9 months of sporadic use. I suspect they're using the minimum quality circuitry available without much regard for idle power consumption, but this is a budget candle so I guess that's to be expected.
