I had a pair of Klipsch S4 headphones that broke after only 3 months. And Klipsch failed their warranty. They sounded decent, but the choice of the cnet editors makes me doubt cnet. The Klipsch aren't built to last, and no matter how careful you are, the Klipsch s4 won't last long. Luckily I bought Square Trade Assurance so I covered *ss. So I went to Amazon with a square refund to look for headphones and came across this Sony MDR EX310 LP. I've heard a lot of good things about the Sony MMP and their headphones, so apart from the PS3 I'm not a big fan of Sony. I decided to try these. I'm so glad I did. These phones are amazing, they have incredible range, clarity and when you play a track with bass you get all the boom that track has to offer. They sound way better than the s4. The s4's bass sounded out of tune, meaning I get heavy bass on tracks without a strong bass line. Now back to Sony. They look well built, the shape of the buds seems odd at first but once you put them on your ears you will understand why they designed them that way. All I can say is this. If you are looking for a great bud kit. Try it and you won't be disappointed. UPDATE: Okay I've been using these buds for 3 months now and I have to say they are amazing. First of all, I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed that I moved Vol. up a click or two. I mean my player vol. max 30. With these I have vol. at 13-14. The reason I was disappointed was some of the other buds, I had 12-13 vol. Then I realized that these buds are 13.5 m and if we compare them with, for example, car speakers. The bigger the speaker, the more power you'll need to feed it to make it work. Now there are many manufacturers of their kidney enlargers. create the illusion of quality. But the same buds will sound distorted to honey. too high vol. These things just bloom. And they are very clear. I listen to hip hop, R&B, rap, funk and other old school artists and sometimes rock. These buds sound great across the board. They're comfortable, they stay in them during intense cardio workouts. I couldn't be happier. Sony has halted production to promote its new liners with Balance fittings. So man collect them while you can.
