size up! But we did it and we liked it.
When I ordered before I looked at the reviews and everyone said the size is bigger so I did. My boys are very small for their age but they are taller, my 5 year old is so small but 6T long so I bought him a small instead of an XS and it fits him perfectly, not even too big. So definitely take it bigger. I also have my 3T and 4T which is a very young boy in 1% of the kids but in length 3T and 4T are perfect
