Revain doesn't have a large stock of Crocs in my size (men's size 9) so I have to buy these. I bought for my Afghanistan tour to use the in/out shower as you don't want to shower barefoot here. Fit: Shoe is wide, very wide. I have about 1 inch of space between my boot and my foot, but that gives me room to quickly slide my foot in and out if needed. I walk with my feet forward, but if your gait is more like Charlie Chaplin (toes pointing out), you may have trouble with that extra space when walking long distances in it. The outsole is supportive enough with good tread to tackle 1-1/2 to 2 inches of gravel without feeling the rocks underfoot. The insole is ribbed across the width (where your toes attach to your feet) and is usually shaped to the sole of your foot with a slight curve. The caveat is that water tends to pool in your toes and heels, keeping you dry have to . turn the shoes upside down, with the toes pointing up and at an angle to allow water to drain off the heels. My toes and sometimes the tips either stick through this hole (think of the molded sockliner that keeps my foot forward in it) or rub against the top of the vent as I walk. The molded insole, good ventilation and overall size make them ideal for shower shoes. Unlike my flip flops the feet have minimal slippage even when wet and I plan to use them for flying or at the beach this summer.
