Review on Revolutionary USB Rechargeable AA Batteries: High Capacity, Constant Output, Over-Charge Protection, 1.5V, 2000mWh, 4-Pack by April Anson

Decent potential (needs a bit of tweaking and clarification of details)

These are good batteries but there are a few inconsistent inconsistencies. On 11/15/21 the seller states that "the long life cycle allows more than 1200 uses" and "PULOMI batteries withstand the highest cycles up to 1200 charge and discharge cycles". However, the batteries received state that they are good for charging "500 times", which corresponds to the fine print on the seller's battery picture, which also says "500 times". 500 full charge cycles is still a long battery life for things that last a while, but if you're constantly charging batteries for use with things that drain batteries quickly, then that discrepancy could be a deal breaker for your number of cycles . It is also nowhere specified whether these zinc batteries use an aqueous or non-aqueous electrolyte. "Fast charging" is pretty relative these days. Charging 4 at once via a USB-A to 4xUSB-C splitter connection is a convenient and reasonable fare, but it's by no means a USB-C PD 3.0 60-100W port directly on each battery . While the battery has a physical USB-C connection, its charging speed is limited by the battery version of the USB specification, which is not clearly defined when using a different cable and connector, how much more reliable and faster it will be between 18 W can load and 100W. The battery itself says "recharge before use if left on standby for more than 3 months" but the packaging says "they will last up to 12 months on a full charge if not used" . Maybe it's just a weird light effect on the sellers pictures, but in the pictures the bowl appears to be hexagonal while it's a regular round bowl. The batteries fit all of my devices and seem to be working well so far. At the moment I don't have enough information about the internal structure of the batteries and the number of discharge cycles to understand how long I think these batteries will last. Batteries arrived almost fully charged. The USB-C splitter plugs are very stiff and difficult to slide in and out of these batteries, and the splitter cable itself can be an inch or two longer. The small LED indicator on each battery will glow red while charging and blue when fully charged.

Pros
  • CHARGING via USB Type-C: Plug USB Type-C directly into the input for quick and easy charging. Use the included cable to connect 4 batteries to any USB power source at the same time. Connect to AC adapter, power adapter or computer. Long life allows over 1200 uses
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
