Review on πŸ”’ NICEYRIG Cable Lock Clamp: Securing HDMI USB Camera Cable in Sony A6500 A6000 A6300 DSLR Cage by Reginald Hamilton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality, easy to use, gets the job done perfectly and at a price at least 5 times cheaper!

Few know about this handy little accessory. If you're lucky enough to have a camera with SDI connectors, these might not be as necessary, but for those of us who mainly shoot DSLRs/camcorders that use HDMI, audio jacks, and remote control ports that don't screw/latch on , it's easy to pull the cable out of the connector and in my case the connector on the camera breaks because of pulling in the wrong direction which bends the connector. Once the connector on the camera is broken, it is useless. Spring. at least for any good audio/video recording. This requires the use of a cage so you can bolt them onto the cage. But cages aren't that bad for the price, and honestly they're one of those things that should be used anyway so you can attach a mic, stylus, monitor, rails, etc. Also, they often offer some Protection for the camera. It's not the most secure cable lock I've seen, but it's MUCH cheaper and does the job perfectly for the price. It's just two small pieces of metal that you press together to secure and hold the cable securely. As can be.

Pros
  • Professional video accessory
Cons
  • Can't remember
