Protects against moving from side to side, but that's all.

Looks pretty cool, but once you attach it to the camera you'll realize there's no way to secure the cable. If you pull the cable, it comes out. It doesn't hold it in place, it just keeps it from bending. That only does half the work.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Might be useful but doesn't work with my Camvate left wooden grip

I have a left grip for my SmallRig frame that I really like (https://www.amazon.com/CAMVATE-Wooden - Handle-Mount-Support/dp/B07BLLHYW9/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=CAMVATE+DSLR+Wood+Wooden+Griff&qid=1582488276&sr=8-2) The handle and this HDMI clamp can't coexist, so I've decided to keep the grip. I found the grip helps protect the HDMI cable anyway, so it suits my needs.

Pros
  • Camera and photo
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Few know about this handy little accessory. If you're lucky enough to have a camera with SDI connectors, these might not be as necessary, but for those of us who mainly shoot DSLRs/camcorders that use HDMI, audio jacks, and remote control ports that don't screw/latch on , it's easy to pull the cable out of the connector and in my case the connector on the camera breaks because of pulling in the wrong direction which bends the connector. Once the connector on the camera is broken, it is useless.

Pros
  • Professional video accessory
Cons
  • Can't remember
