I spent hours trying to find a USB hub for my MacBook Air with an external monitor port. This one caught my eye because it has four high-speed USB ports. After endless comparisons, I made my decision and bought this one. I love it. My problem with my existing Apple hub was that I could never rely on my external monitor to get the right signals from my computer. Now I can just unplug the hub if I want to move the computer to another room and plug it back in with no computer drama. I used to wait 30 minutes for the external monitor to work etc. So I recommend this without reservations. It's only been a week so I'll update if there are any issues. It gets really hot when only the monitor and the external hard drive are connected. I hope it's not a problem.
