After a rodent ate the sensor on our old D-Link water sensor, we pre-ordered it as a replacement. The battery life is a nice feature, although the power supply would also satisfy our needs. While the water sensor quickly detected the water and sent a notification to my phone almost immediately, setup was a nightmare as they don't tell you any important information either in the app during setup or in the documentation that came with the device. That means when you do the setup in the app to connect it to your Wi-Fi, you MUST turn off your cellular data or it won't fully connect either normally or via WPS through a router. After almost ready to send it back as defective, I scoured the internet and finally found an article that suggested this. After turning off cellular data, it connected normally and everything is fine.
