Edit 09/03/19 - I came back from vacation and found the light stopped working. It worked reliably for about a year and a half, but now it doesn't light up, although the switch continues to work. I really like the flashlight both visually and in terms of performance, but I don't think I won't have to change it again in a few months. I'm looking at other products because I'm not sure if an integrated LED board is for me - if one of the solder joints fails I'll have to get a whole new block. Edit 2/8/18 - I contacted Light Blue about the broken light and they replied within 30 minutes that a new one was on the way. Arrived in about three days, everything works. I'm giving this light four stars because the last one died after six months, but I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly Light Blue responded to my email and that they sent a new one so quickly. Edit: 1/29/18 - I'm downgrading this flashlight because it stopped working about six months after installing it. Almost out of nowhere it started turning on and off alternately at intervals of about a second. Attached is a video of the event. I figured it must be a light because I removed the switch on the wall to see if it was and I checked another light that worked fine. I'm already past the point of returning this and am curious to see if the company offers a guarantee on their defective product. When it worked, it worked well, but I certainly expected this device to be used for more than six months. First review: This is a good value for money light that other posters have said is very bright. I have replaced a 4" with 1" fluorescent tube in my kitchen and I can say that it gives more light than this and the quality of the light seems clearer. The delivery was fast and the lamp arrived in good condition. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five was that the installation was a bit more complicated than the instructions said. Step 6 indicates that you should just screw the light into the electrical box on the ceiling, which was correct but also misleading. I found that removing the lens with the three screws on the front of the unit gave me a much better chance of aligning the screws with the mounting bracket than trying to see it by eye with the unit intact. I felt like I spent a lot of time holding my hands above my head trying to install this jig before I found a faster way. It would be nice to know this in advance. I would recommend this lamp to anyone looking for a lot of light. It definitely lights up my small kitchen (maybe 100 feet).
