Update after 1 year: Carbon filter bought and changed every 2 weeks - STILL RED. I bought an expensive hepa filter. STILL RED. I have emailed the company. No Answer. I have owned this air purifier for 6 months now. 2 stars for the 2 months it worked as advertised. No matter what I do, this thing ALWAYS shows a red light. No cats, no birds, no smokers - a clean house. Apparently we were cleaner in the first 2 months of owning this air purifier. Once again disappointed with $$ wasted on junk that doesn't work as advertised.
