Review on Protective Skateboarding Skating Cycling Scootering by Jason Dahlkemper

Knee pad size sucks

I am a 5ft 7 inch female in my 30's and weigh 136 pounds. I ordered an adult size. I've trawled the length and width of Revain with reviews always pointing out mismatched knee and elbow/wrist guards and I was hoping I wouldn't have that issue with this set. As you can see from the photos, the elbow and wrist guards are too big for my tiny wrists and skinny arms, so much so that the straps protrude when I want them to be snug. I could work with that if it wasn't for the size of the knee pads. The knee pads are squeezing my thighs just from wearing them. I wore them for five to ten minutes while walking and putting on other protective gear and they were itchy, tight and uncomfortable. I couldn't imagine wearing them any longer. It's disappointing that the knee pad is so tight when the other parts are so big. The knee pad is size L like all the other parts, so it's not a size difference, it's a difference in the size of the parts as a whole.

Pros
  • Hands free work
Cons
  • Very expensive
