That's better than buying a new console.

Installation will be easier if you plan ahead. I recommend you put each set of screws in a ziplock bag to avoid confusion when reassembling. The removable disk works great, has read everything that was thrown on it. This disc swap was done on the launch PS4 in case you're wondering about the compatibility.
