I don't use Jane Iredale but this sponge is great for applying my liquid mineral foundation (I use Illuminare)! Keeps my foundation looking flawless but doesn't absorb foundation so doesn't waste tons of makeup. It also doesn't irritate skin, which for me is the whole point of using a sponge (sponges are better than brushes if you have sensitive skin or acne). I use it dry but I think it can be used both wet and dry. I definitely like it more than the Real Technics orange blender sponge and it's way better than Illuminare's own sponge. What I love most about it is how versatile it is! This sponge allows you to get wet without having to wash off your makeup later in the day. I don't use powder makeup so can't comment on how well it works with it, but I think it works pretty well with it as it blends well on its own. It's also durable enough to withstand the fact that I usually wash it with antibacterial soap every night.
