I love them but I don't weld/solder with them.
I have no idea how they work as a welding electrode. I bought these to make 1-1/4"S hooks with a rod. The material is strong and when folded into shape makes an amazing hanger. I make 5 hooks per rod and slightly more .inch piece of scrap .For my purpose I am very happy with it.
