Item does not work as described. Revane says he's coming to my truck, but he's not coming. The screw diagram is completely wrong. When I plugged in the wiring harness to at least test it, I wasn't surprised that it didn't do anything after turning my fan speed down by 1, then 2, then 3, 4, and finally 5, and it didn't do anything. It costs me at least $6 to send back which is not worth my time so I have to swallow it as a waste of money. My truck is a 2003 1500 GMC Sierra 4x4 4.8L regular cab. So if you have a similar truck, don't waste your time, but more importantly, your hard-earned money. TO UPDATE! I've been dumb for a while That's the deal. The screw holes on the resistor are all wrong, so you'll need to drill them in the right place to position the resistor correctly. Here I failed. BLOWN FUSE! When the old resistor failed, a fuse blew. Check the 10A HVAC 1 and 30A HTR A/C fuses in the internal fuse box. Also check the 40A BLWR fuse and the 10A HVAC/ECAS fuses under the hood. After I found that the 30 amp resistor was blown and replaced it, the new resistor worked fine. And that the wiring of the new harness is black and white and the old harness is color coded. If you notice your old one on the plug, there's a seven-digit code for each wire. Simply connect the colored wires to the new harness using the female end of the old harness as a schematic.
