If you have hardwood floors, you should NEVER use the rug pads that are coated with PVC. They will leave marks that are likely to be permanent. You have to use 100% natural rubber! This rug pad is not as incredibly grippy as some, but it does keep our kitchen rug in place quite well and it won't ruin the floor! I wasn't looking for something super cushioned so that's not as much of a concern for me, but even though it's thin it will obviously add a little extra comfort under a flat rug.

The contractor who refinished my hardwood floor recommend a natural rubber non slip backing for my area rug. This one had great reviews, and I’m not disappointed. I believe the price is reasonable for natural rubber. It will more than pay for itself by saving me the cost of repairing damage that could be done to my hardwood floors from synthetic pads.

I just bought this to put under a large area rug & the small rugs that came with it to protect our new laminate floors. The pad works great for the area rug with no slipping or movement. It doesn't work as well for the small 2'x3' rugs, as they do slip a LITTLE bit, but nothing dangerous. Overall everything came well packaged, on time, & it was easy to lay out & cut to size. My rug moves i realized this to late and could not return it, very disappointed for this was an expensive rug pad. May be difficult to cut to size without special tools!

It has a strong chemical smell that won’t go away after weeks and makes your head hurt. It also had no separate packaging. It just looked like they had giants rolls of this stuff in a warehouse and whenever someone orders, they just get scissors, cut some off, and stick it in a shipping bag.

It prevented rug from moving and slipping on floor. I might have liked it a little thicker but it does the job It stained our wood floor!

I bought this to go under an 8x10 jute rug on hardwood floors, the rug would always pucker and lose its square shape. I was nervous spending more for the natural rubber but didn’t want to risk damaging the hardwoods. Happy to say so far so good, the rug stays in place and keeps its shape great!

Even though this pad states it's safe with no toxic off gassing, which I'm highly sensitive and allergic to, it has a smell that I just can't tolerate. This product is way overpriced and doesn't perform as described. I bought it to help hold a rug in my kitchen that is in a high traffic area. My kitchen has a wood floor. It doesn't grip enough on the outer edges of the rug. This causes my rug to always be sideways about 1/2" on one corner or the other and up one side, which causes the mat to peek out from under it. I have ordered 4 of these rug pads. All different sizes and thickness depending on where the rug is. They are great quality and the thick pads are amazing in our all hardwood home. I have had guests comment on the cushion of the rug which is actually the rug pad. Would order again!

This mat keeps our new silk rug from sliding on the hardwood floor but doesn't deform the rug by being too thick. My wife did good selecting this pad.

When I opened the rubber rug pad 5’ round, it had a horrible smell. It gave me a headache. However I was able to soak it in my washing machine with oxi clean, a cup of distilled vinegar and even threw in a cup of pet odor remover. Let it soak over night, and then ran it through a clear water rinse on delicate. Put it in the dryer on low and it came out perfect. Works perfectly under my 5’ round area rug, no slipping. No odor.

This rug pad is nothing special. The company just markets their products as if they are selling a better quality product than their competitors. However, I have found several rug pads that are basically the same product.Vellax rug pads work on hardwood, stone, laminate and vinyl and cost less than half of what Rugpadusa cost. I would not buy from Rugpadusa again when there are several rug pad companies that make just as good a product.

I like this pad very much. It fits beautifully and keeps the rug from bunching up. It gets a lot of use as the rug is in front of the kitchen sink!

I bought this pad because it is supposed to be much better than the usual rubber being made from natural products. So far so good. It is great for holding rugs in place. I would recommend.

I haven't had it very long. I have it on my porch under outside carpeting. Its seems like it is doing it's job. That's my feedback!

Both carpets are the wrong size. Roll the video! Additionally, our custom ordered anti skid pads didn’t fit. Hence the one star. They haven't returned our calls for either!
