This skirt is advertised as a maxi skirt, which usually means ankle length. It was just below my 10 year old niece's knees and she is the shortest girl in her class. There was nothing wrong with the waist, she thought everything was fine, but it turned out to be much shorter than expected. She had to wear it because we ordered it at the last minute for a colonial era costume for school. We were glad it arrived on time but really wish it was 6-8 inches longer to be a true maxi length.
