Progress Processor for Food Processors

It's obviously an improvement over my old Hamilton Beach stand mixer (although it has a smaller bowl and higher price). I bought the old one mainly for its ease of use and powerful circulation (great for salsa) but then found it lacked basic features like cutting more than one thickness. It was also unbearably loud and shrill: a simple mandolin sounded more functional and much quieter. I also had an old model Cuisinart Classic Pro which had a great motor but was otherwise a waste of plastic tubing and fittings, time consuming and patient (with six single purpose discs using the same clunky adaptor). With this new Hamilton Beach model, I can now focus on cooking instead of trying to work with a food processor. Several disadvantages -1. Cable storage: A practical concept, but very stiff and awkward to use.2. Bowl Scraper: Food that sticks to the bowl will also stick to this scraper, so you'll still need a spatula, although it's not included; Also, the scraper cannot be used with slicing or grating discs or dough blades - only "S-blade" (for which it is at least a good countertop stand).3. Engine and transmission noise: no longer painfully shrill and shrill, but anything but pleasant and reassuring. It looks more like a workshop tool than a kitchen tool. Vibrations are noticeable even if they do not cause any discomfort.4. Lid: It still has an inner bracket that wraps food in, making it difficult to wash dishes. The cutting disc has a similar problem. Multiple strengths -1. The "stacking" design works great, the components almost snap into place (the lid resists a little because of the seal, unless you open and close it with a lever action, using the feed tube as a lever); Stack locking is a two-handed but otherwise effortless step.2. The adjustable cutting disc is easy to set up and use. It cuts clean and looks durable. (And you get some really decent Airfryer chips.)3. The overall dimensions and weight are moderate, making it convenient to store both on the counter and in the closet, and the metal locking lever serves as an excellent handle for moving the device.4. Machining operations tend to be very fast (although the blade should stop a bit sooner).5. No adapters are required when changing blades or discs - everything is built in and ready to use. The elements simply snap into place and are basically self-aligning.6. The feeder is long and fairly large with no additional safety features (although a narrower carrot/celery tray would be a welcome addition). It has room for a medium Yukon Gold potato or a fat zucchini squash.7. The lid gasket effectively retains oils and other dirty liquids.8. The included blade and disc storage box is remarkably compact. An ambiguous feature is the rubber design of the suction cups on the device's legs. They hold up pretty well and are fairly easy to disengage using the feed tube or locking handle as leverage, but I could do without that. Maybe I would feel different if I made dough or nut butter. The documentation is typical, ie poor, but the learning curve for this model is short and the user experience is pleasant and non-fatiguing. With a quieter engine and transmission this would have been a five star product. Regardless, I'm glad I bought it and I expect to use and enjoy it regularly.
