Easy installation with Sharkbite fittings

I took a pair of Sharkbite 3/4” male NPT fittings and a pair of 3/4 ball valves” Sharkbite and completed the installation in 15 minutes. The installation steps were.1. Disabled main water supply.2. Open the nearest faucet to drain as much water as possible.3. Cut the existing 3/4 copper tubing. Uses a bucket to collect residual water in the pipeline.4. Teflon tape wrapped around the MNPT5 fittings. I decided I didn't need the included mount to support the device. I can install later if needed. At the moment the strut holds the wrench.6. The block allowed me to rotate it 180Β° to match my direction of water flow.7. Put everything together on the line.8. Turned on the main valve along with new valves.9. Record the baseline pressure/flow readings from the device's manometer to know when it is time to flush and clean.10. Ready! I debated what mesh size, 50 microns or 100 microns, would be best for my well water. Stopped at 100 microns. A few days after installation, I noticed that the mesh wasn't catching much material while my entire home filter was banging on, so I emailed Don for customer service. He was responsive and professional even during the holidays and the pandemic! He let me know he sent me a 50 micron mesh to fix the problem. Great customer service, iSpring! I really like this press with built in scraper, although I wish I could afford an automatic one. I really don't want my wife with a bad back going down to the basement to service the unit. Anyway, I'm thinking about tying this to my sewer which is about 10 feet from me. But the 5 liter bucket still works well. Overall I am very satisfied with the product and the customer service.

Pros
  • System can be installed in any direction thanks to 360Β° swivel head connection
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
