I love this Dutch Oven very much. Our family only uses cast iron for frying. We usually use antique cast iron because new models just don't have that quality. But I needed a dutch oven but couldn't find an antique one. I was very skeptical when I bought it. But I'm so glad I did. I use it as a grill and when I don't need the oven I use the lid as a frying pan. stick. But otherwise I'm completely satisfied. It is made of very heavy cast iron. It's a good size. And the lid works great as a frying pan because it has deeper rims than traditional cast iron. It was hot even after washing and drying I brushed it with vegetable oil and let it sit then rinsed with oil before using it again and put it in the oven. for the time being i didn't get a new seasoning coat, i used plastic spatulas because the metal scratches the seasoning coat that comes from the factory. I highly recommend the purchase.
