Clamp can not hold the lock

The lock itself is very solid. The issue is with the clamp. There is no way to install the clamp and have it hold the lock during a ride. A lock that weighs 4 lbs can not be held by a clamp with a strap. My lock bounced around and now my bike is scratched.
