If you're buying a helmet you'll have to stick to the lenses the manufacturer has to offer, but I don't miss three lenses with snap-on bladders. I have one of the mirrored colored shields and a clear one to match this helmet, both have strong reflections when the sun is ahead, this shield corrects that. It's also very dark, I won't be wearing it at night. You can see very clearly without distortion and you don't need sunglasses behind it. The other visors I have are easily scratched and worn, so you need to be extra careful not to let your helmet (with the visor attached) roll on the pavement.
