This is a great milk frother for the price. I’ve purchased others and they all had the heating mechanism at the underside of the container unit and no matter how carefully it’s washed, water is bound to get to the bottom and damage the heating unit. I’ve gone through several of this type, always buying up, convinced the more expensive the better it would last - these types of milk frothers are not worth it in my opinion.The heating base in the Kaloric is separate from the stainless pitcher, thus you can never harm the heating unit when cleaning the pitcher.Another great feature is how well it heats up milk - I’d always have to heat the milk in the microwave first using other frothers mentioned above and it’s super easy to clean.I’m very happy with this purchase.
