Got a 1TB M.2 SSD today and hooked it up to my desktop. It recognized it right away, so I used Easus to clone my main hard drive, which had my operating system installed, in about an hour. I then restarted the computer and pressed F12 to select which drive to boot from and selected the encrypted drive. I then pressed Windows + R key to access the HD manager and proceeded to format my old drive, map it to a data drive for photos, etc. The whole process was pretty painless. Started right away with no problems. Speed test done with performance tagged and it reads at 561MB/s and writes at 520MB/s so it's running at optimal performance. Not a single problem with installation and configuration. I like that they include a mounting screw, which most SSDs don't have. My motherboard didn't come with one, so that was fine. Everything runs smoothly now, which is a huge difference from the HD drive, which runs at 7200 rpm. It's day and night. Thanks for the cheap SSD. The hard drive temperature never rises above 55 degrees Celsius.
