That's it. Just received, box opened and first impression is well put together, especially for the price. Nice looking imitation wood. Great design. Looks exactly like the pictures so no disappointments. Very difficult. This unit features a standard turntable assembly found on virtually EVERY modern "El-Cheapo" Re-Pro "vintage" turntable made by companies like Crosley, Victrola, etc. In other words, the predictable light plastic platter, plain tonearm, no real tracking weight adjustment, anti-skating, etc. (I wish one of these companies would finally build one of these units with a heavier platter and motor, even at a higher price ). Anyway, I bought it to play my old 78s. (I have a good vintage stereo for my treasured vinyl records). OK - I'm just listening as I write this. So far, so good. Some reviews said they wish the turntable had more VOLUME. For me the amp is more than adequate - the thing spins well. Again, it could of course play louder (and this is certainly achievable if you add a couple of active computer speakers available all over the internet), but for me this player plays loud enough to keep me happy. No idea of durability/real quality - that remains to be seen. A small complaint: the unit I received does NOT stop at the end of the recording, which is the feature the company says in their description ("auto stop" at the end of the playback), but mine doesn't stop, so bottom line is this is a DEFECT I can live with - it works fine, like an old school MANUAL PLAYER - which means every time a record ends you get up with ** and bang your arm have to manually disconnect from the disk, otherwise it will just keep spinning. Aesthetically it's very nice indeed, perhaps the nicest pseudo-vintage standalone player I've ever seen and so far it's playing very well so I'm hopeful and cautiously optimistic that the unit will do well for many years to come will work (?). I really hope so, but we all know how things are done these days. Anyway, for those who have old 45s, 78s or even vinyl records that they haven't heard in a while and would like an attractive, stylish and relatively inexpensive standalone player (i.e. with its own amplifier) and built-in speakers). I would say that you will probably be more than satisfied with this model. By the way, this device also plays CDs. Sorry I haven't even tried the CD player yet. In any case, happy shopping and good luck! I hope everyone is staying safe, sane and healthy during this SURREAL time in our lives. Best wishes to everyone in Revain Land!
