I drive a 2017 Chevrolet Sonic with Hankook Optimo H428 All Season Radial Tires - 205/50R17 as OE. The house is in a part of the United States where snow falls on average every ten days in winter; but usually it occurs in small quantities, from a speck of dust to about two inches. In over forty years of winter riding I have used several different brands of all season radial wheels with no problem. These Hankooks are the worst all-season radial tires I've ever owned. As a note: I take care of my car; Both tire profile and air pressure are within recommended limits. Suspension, steering and gearbox work perfectly. The problem lies in the design of this tire. They work in dry weather, you can walk on them in the rain, but they suck even in the slightest bit of winter weather. At the first sign of snow, this tire's grip, traction and handling characteristics deteriorate to the point of uncertainty. Worse, I would strongly advise you to avoid these tires.
