The spherical part at the base seems thicker than OG and has a slightly larger diameter. I can feel them scraping against the lid and this causes an annoying drift problem. Every time I use a proper analog stick now, it could potentially get stuck and stuck on the controller cover due to the lip grinding. A slight push releases it and stops drifting. Very annoying. Tried 3 different sticks from the batch. All 3 had the same problem. Refused to replace them and just chose to live with the drift and annoying crowbar noise. FYI, that was day one of OG, the old PS4 controller. I don't know if this is still an issue with newer controllers or not. But I've never had rubber detachments from analog sticks on newer controllers, so I see no reason to change them. Personally, I just had this old controller lying around and wanted to upgrade it to use on a new laptop. A little disappointed that this brought more problems than it solved.
