Review on πŸ”§ Enhance Engine Precision with OTC 6024 Crankshaft Positioning Tool for Ford by Elijah Harvey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The only true. Fits 5.4L 3V

Finally! I ordered one off e Bay to save a few bucks as hopefully I'll only need it once and it won't fit. Then I turned around and ordered another cheap one from Amazon and it didn't fit either so I sent it back. As most others say (because they sell the same cheap fake rubbish on Amazon & E Bay) they don't fit the crank key and neither does the dowel pin fit the fake. The cheap stuff just isn't cut right: the groove for the crankshaft keyway is too small, and the dowel pin hole on the tool is too small. it's from the jump. Perfect fit and I'm glad in my desperation to get the job done I didn't try to see it by eye with the tip of the crankshaft sprocket pointing straight down because when I put the tool in I definitely was switched off. Also tried the electronic bay which I sawed off trying to mount it. Though closer to the point than I was, despite my best efforts to sharpen both sides of the crank key slot evenly, I was still wrong. In the end, don't even bother with a fake. Get an over-the-counter tool and do it right. tools, but I would avoid them like the plague. For anyone who is and will be like me (just starting out with timekeeping on theoretical or 5.4l 3v, don't fiddle around, try cheap with an over the counter tool and then leave yourself in a pickle where you just click on Do File the tool to fit or just stare at it, just get a real one, this is the most important and important point in the work, so why not make sure it's 100 % is done correctly?
