Great product, worst guide ever.

The TV mount itself is great. Powerful, adjustable, very beautiful. But the installation instructions are poor. Luckily I understand the mechanics so I figured it out pretty quickly. But once you're used to IKEA's level of learning, you'll want to keep going. But this one is so cheap and of such good quality that it's hard to pass up. Here's a hint - it comes with a large number of mounting screws, most of which you won't be using. They are designed to be universally adaptable to any TV you own. Also, it's best to first install a small piece of plywood on top of the two studs and then install the TV stand onto the plywood so you know the stand will eventually attach to the studs and not the drywall. The stand itself is lightweight, just like your TV, so you'll need to bolt it down with the studs whenever possible. I used three 1/4-20 machine screws connected to three matching t-nuts on the other side of the plywood. I drilled t-nuts about 1/8" deep with a 7/8" Forstener bit and attached the plywood to the wall with four 2" #10 sheet metal screws (above the viewport) was a little trick. Most of the time I spent measuring and calculating. I wish I could remember the basic measurements, but I don't, and unfortunately the instructions don't tell you either. Good luck!

  • TV mounts, stands and turntables
Cons
