Great substitute for "boning "
I use these for boning 18th century corsets instead of cane or expensive "fake whalebone". I have tried faux baleen and it is a very good substitute. It can easily be cut to length and the cut edges can be rounded off with a file. another plus: if the fabric is pre-washed, the corset can be washed by hand.
