I grew up without any helmets and suffered no head injuries while skiing, biking, and playing sports. Now, my wife insists I wear a helmet when riding my bike around the block. This one is lightweight and has a convenient light on the back. The harness is adjustable for one-size-fits-all. It sits high on one's head and is very light weight. It does not protect your face from anything and I can't imagine it provides much protection for your head if you were to fall or get hit by a car.
