Review on Ultrathick All-Weather Foam Sleeping Pad With Pillow For Backpacking, Traveling, And Hiking - Fast Air Self-Inflating Insulated Mattress - Durable Camping Mat In Green (3 Inches) by Gerardo Cibrian

Best purchase I’ve ever made for tent camping

This is hands-down the best camping purchase I have ever made. These sleep mats are a perfect size, incredibly easy to inflate (you do nothing just let it inflate itself), and incredibly comfortable (my husband has back problems since he is on his feet all day, camping is always Ana uncomfortable experience for him sleep-wise, but he slept through the night and had no pain the next morning after sleeping on this mat). Are they bigger than the inflatable light weight sleeping mats? Yes, but 100% worth it. They roll up to about the size of a sleeping bag when packed tightly. I think one of the most incredible things about the sleep mass is the fact that they are not noisy when someone rolls around on them. This was a huge problem I had with the lightweight inflatable sleeping mats. They are also wide enough that you can sleep comfortably without the sleeping bag slipping off. Lastly, rolling them up is easy. You just tightly roll them (I suggest keeping your knees on top between rolls) put the elastic straps around, and slip it in the bag. It is significantly easier than rolling a sleeping bag- for context. I read one review that said it was difficult to roll…and I cannot figure out how this person had a hard time with it. It was incredibly simple for me and I am not a very strong person.

Pros
  • Foam can easily adjust to the contours of the ground for added functionality
Cons
  • The pillow is prone to leaking air, causing discomfort during the night
