, I recently got a new bike and it was much more difficult to fix the helmet under the seat. I bought it to make it easier for me to attach my helmet to my bike. That's all it's for. I wouldn't use this on an expensive helmet or if I live in an area with a high theft rate. The lock itself is very finicky, and if someone really wants to, they can pull your helmet right off the bike with enough force. But if you need convenience, then this will work. Buy for that, not for the safety.
