My first clue should be that a heavy duty AA battery bike light sells for $20 while this light with all its 'features' sells for $17. where to start First, this flashlight is not waterproof. After using it in the rain, water got in and permanently "dirty" the display. More importantly, when I was riding my bike at night, the lights went out in the rain! I can't think of any less safe riding conditions than at night, in the rain, with no bike lights. When the water hit the light, the mechanism that controlled the horn shorted out and the damn thing went off in my house. It's funny in hindsight, but at the time I thought my fire alarm went off! Also, the battery is terrible. For the first two weeks, I only had to charge it once every seven days. After that, it had to be charged more often until it wasn't worth it anymore. Last but not least, the odometer is terrible. I programmed the circumference of my tire and installed the sensor as instructed and the distance was wide. The odometer showed that the same commute I took every day for seven years to work was 9 miles, although I know from google maps it's 4.5 miles. However, my ego was temporarily boosted when the light reported that my average speed was 24 mph! Do yourself a favor and spend a few bucks more and buy some reliable bike lights. Don't waste your time or risk your safety with this cheap junk.
