Review on Edifier R1280T Active Bookshelf Speakers - 2.0 Stereo Near Field Monitors - Wooden Enclosure - 42 Watts RMS - Ideal for Studio Monitoring by Masaaki Haruto ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I can't stop being happy with the purchase, a very good deal!

Pleasantly pleased with the sound even in the store, where there was a large open space, and this despite the fact that they were standing on top of another pair of speakers on ordinary commercial console shelves. The bass is velvety, the highs are quite clear, the middle timbres are very tasty. The vocals are handled very well. By the way, to clear my conscience, I immediately compared them with the Edifier R1600TIII, which were second on my list of choices. So, the 1600s practically cannot be compared with them, neither in dynamics, nor in bass elasticity, nor in sound clarity.

Pros
  • The sound quality for the money is just amazing. Laconic design Quality performance Neat remote control
Cons
  • Yes, there is a slight distortion in the channels (the right one is a little quieter), but I hope that this will improve when I connect them via a 1.5 mm cable - now this cable is already in the wall, and there is nothing to put the speakers on yet.
