I got them because my 4 year old Audio Technica ATH-M40X headphones looked a bit worn. The headband came off but the headphones still work great so I didn't want to replace them just yet. This cap snaps closed (with little effort) and now that they're on the headband, they're protected. If I could turn back time, I would have received it sooner to protect him beforehand. My main complaint is that the zipper is tight and difficult to close and there is a pointy part on the edge where the zipper ends. it can be annoying. I unzipped my ears and it hasn't bothered me since. I usually forget it's even on now.
