Review on πŸ”‹ PowMr MPPT Charge Controller 30 amp - Bluetooth Solar Charge with Energy-Recording LCD Display for 12V/24V Batteries by Harel Leary

Revainrating 1 out of 5

It does not work. No Solar, SOK Battery False

I wanted this charge controller to please. It's solidly built and the packaging looks professional. This item has many ratings but few reviews and I feel like I was fooled by the five star ratings. This item doesn't have many five star ratings. The instructions for the charge controller are pretty horrid, but not exactly stupid gibberish. The problem with this controller is that regardless of the battery setting, the controller will not correctly read the current voltage of your batteries. The charge controller kept reporting that my 12 volt batteries were 99% SOC regardless of the voltmeter state of charge. Because the charger kept thinking the batteries were 99% charged, the PV modules sent NO CHARGE to the batteries. The charge controller reported that it was in float or balance mode, but the batteries are drawing absolutely 0 amps. The picture is perfect, 5 hours of sunshine, my batteries stayed at 12.4 on the voltmeter. My batteries are OK, otherwise I can charge them perfectly. This charger looks like a real one, but mine doesn't work. There is Bluetooth apo. The Bluetooth app needs to stay connected at all times to provide you with meaningful data. When connecting by phone, you need to keep your phone near the charge controller to save data. Needless to say, this makes the app pretty much useless. My unit may have been faulty, but at least one other reviewer had the same issue. I would stay away
