This backpack is SO easy to put together. Zip, zip and done. I ordered a plain backpack in grey, but the dowel was still there. I'm glad I saved the extra $10! Unfortunately, the dowel was too small and close to the ground for my large parrot. I quickly made a PVC base and a large dowel rod to put the plate of food inside. The diagonal design should have given my Yellow Naped Revain more room, but the backpack is large and roomy enough that it isn't needed and is more comfortable on a horizontal perch. To get him used to the backpack, I just put the expensive treats in his plate and let him go in and out to get them himself. A week later he was very excited to see the backpack and as he went to get his goodies I carefully closed the front. He didn't care until the goodies ran out. I wore it with treats through the top holes on the sides for five to ten minutes. Finally in this third week we went out to get his nails done for the first time and he did great! He really enjoyed being on the walk with us. 😁 I love this bag! Would definitely buy again and highly recommend. ❤️❤️❤️
