Compared to another pair of shiny/ metallic silver shorts on ebay that I also bought, these were true to size! I am constantly between sizes (M and L). Some places I buy a 5/6, sometimes I get a 7/8 and these shorts fit me perfectly! The elastic waistband and pockets are a super nice feature too. My iPhone fits completely in the pocket, but since the shorts have an elastic waistband, the shorts never sagged or moved!
