OEM tag confusion and replacement
Purchased to replace Toyota cabin air filter. The OEM filter had an "UP" filter imprint with an arrow pointing up. In the aftermarket, the filter was marked "AIRFLOW" with an arrow pointing down. Toyota airflow direction is top to bottom. Install this particular filter with the down arrow showing the direction of airflow. I know this goes against the direction of the OEM filter, but both are correct in their own way. I would prefer the "UP" version as I never need to figure out which direction the fan airflow is going in my car.
